Common Questions
I have lost the keys, is it a problem ?
No this would not be a problem as long as we have your permission to gain entry to the vehicle.
I want to scrap my car but does it need to be complete ?
We have no problem with you removing smaller parts and accessories from the vehicle but please tell us the full extent of the vehicle at the time of booking.
If I scrap my car when should I notify the DVLA ?
Providing you supply us with your cars logbook we will notify the DVLA for you. If you do not have a V5/logbook then you will be required to provide us with some form of identification and then you will need to send a letter along with a copy of the disposal form to the DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BD.
What do I need to do before and after my car salvage collection ?
Before collection you need to clear all contents from your vehicle and remove the tax disc if you wish to claim a refund. You must then complete section 9 on your logbook (V5 Document) and send it to the DVLA. If you do not have the V5 then you must notify them in writing (Always recorded post).
